Christine Kocevar is ArtTuzi, an artist and educator who earned her Master of Fine Art degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor of Fine Arts at Seton Hill University. As a student, she studied art and art history abroad at the American University of Paris, France and the Academy of Fine Art in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She has exhibited and taught locally, curated the Westmoreland Art Nationals, and conducted a Pop Up studio class at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art. When the chance to teach at a private school in Fuzhou, China became available, she took it and became immersed in Chinese culture. While there she taught art classes and managed a ceramics club while working towards a TEFL-C certificate to teach English as a second language. She believes that creativity can be discovered in all aspects of life. Christine is an interdisciplinary artist with an interest in combining traditional methods of art making with available technologies. Interests in nutritional science, herbal gardening and naturalism influence her work. Christine is currently teaching at Westmoreland County Community College and managing the art gallery there
